Briton Ferry climbed to third in the Adran Premier with a stunning victory over reigning champions Cardiff City at Old Road.
The hosts took the lead in the 18th minute when Maia Owen netted her fifth goal of the season in all competitions. However, Cardiff’s Ffion Price equalized with a clever finish that caught goalkeeper Courtney Young off guard, taking her league tally to nine goals this campaign.
Lucy Powell restored Briton Ferry’s advantage just before the hour mark, tapping home from close range. She then sealed the victory with her second goal in the 76th minute, securing her side’s fifth league win of the season.
