Gwalia United secured their first home victory of the season with a 1–0 win over Hashtag United at USW Sport Park, making it two wins from their opening three Women’s National League games under manager James Thomas.

Tia Asker grabbed the decisive goal in the 35th minute, calmly finishing to give the hosts the lead.

Hashtag came close on several occasions – hitting the crossbar twice and carving out further chances – but Gwalia showed resilience and discipline to protect their advantage and record a valuable clean sheet.
