Aston Villa and Liverpool provided a thrilling game for the near 8,000 crowd at Villa Park in an entertaining 3-3 draw in the Women’s Super League.

The home side opened the scoring through Kirsty Hanson before goals from Katie Stengel and Natasha Dowie put Liverpool ahead.

Rachel Daly then levelled for Villa just before half-time only for Stengel grabbed her second to restore Liverpool’s lead in the 62nd minute.

But the home side had the final word as Hanson secured a 3-3 draw, scoring her second goal after 70 minutes.
