We visited Latham Park the home of JD Cymru Premier side Newtown on Tuesday, 30 May 2023 to photograph the Under 16 friendly game between FAW Girls Academy North and FAW Girls Academy South.
With both sides lining up with several Wales Under 17 Internationals in their ranks, the game was always going to be a hard fought, close encounter between two good sides.
The deadline was finally broken in the second half as Evie Hughes calmly scored from the penalty spot to give the South a narrow 1 nil victory over their North counterparts.
