Gwalia United claimed a dramatic 2–1 victory over Billericay Town to hand new manager Cori Williams-Mills her first win in charge, completing a thrilling late comeback.

A scrappy first half produced few chances, with Billericay looking organised and Gwalia struggling to find rhythm. The visitors took the lead midway through the second half when new signing Yazmin Cowley finished well from a corner.

Gwalia came to life late on following changes from the bench, with Georgia Walters making an immediate impact. Sustained pressure followed, and in the 89th minute Keira O’Keefe was fouled in the box, allowing Beth McGowan to calmly convert the resulting penalty.

Buoyed by the equaliser, Gwalia pushed on in stoppage time and found a dramatic winner when Walters capped an impressive cameo with a decisive finish, sparking jubilant scenes.
