We made our first ever visit to the John Jenkins stadium in Portsmouth on Sunday, 1 February 2026, to photograph the FA Women’s National League Plate Semi-Final between hosts Moneyfields and Gwalia United.

Gwalia United’s FA Women’s National League Plate journey ended at the semi-final stage as Moneyfields claimed a 2–0 victory, making the most of a fast start that proved decisive.
The hosts struck first when Tierney Scott’s driving run released Kiera Heslam, who squared for Shannon Albuery to calmly lift the ball home. Less than 20 minutes in, Moneyfields doubled their lead as Heslam’s cleared free-kick dropped kindly for Brooke Garcia, who fired emphatically into the roof of the net.
Gwalia responded with greater urgency after the break and looked to build sustained pressure, but Moneyfields managed the game well, closing down space and seeing out the contest with composure to secure their place in the final.
