We made our first visit of the season to the Dunraven Brewery Field in Bridgend on Saturday, 6 September 2025, to photograph the pre-season friendly between Ospreys and Exeter Chiefs.
It was a bright and sunny Saturday afternoon at the Brewery Field as over 3,000 supporters welcomed the start of the 2025/26 rugby season in Bridgend.
The Ospreys faced a tough test against a powerful Exeter side who proved ruthless on the counter-attack. The visitors struck early to take the lead and never let it slip, keeping their noses in front throughout the contest.
But despite Exeter’s strength, a youthful Ospreys team – featuring several debutants – showed real character. They battled hard, stayed in the fight, and produced a thrilling late rally that brought the crowd to their feet.
In the end, Exeter’s experience told as they secured a 38-26 victory, but the Ospreys could take plenty of positives from a spirited performance full of promise for the season ahead.
