A Sammy Henia-Kamau hat-trick and Jack Fanning header got Swans Professional Development League Cup campaign off to a flying start as they beat south Wales rivals Cardiff City at Landore.

The Swans took an early lead through a Henia-Kamau goal, before Daniel Ola levelled for the visitors, before defender Jack Fanning put the Swans back in front once again.

Sammy Henia-Kamau then converted a penalty to give the Swans 3-1 half time lead.

Cardiff rallied after the break and pulled a goal back after substitute Will Spiers converted a spot-kick for the Bluebirds.

Henia-Kamau completed his hat-trick in the 75th minute to ensure the win for the young Swans.
