Kristian Fletcher’s hat-trick, coupled with a goal from Charlie Veevers, secured Swansea City Under-21s their third consecutive league victory, overcoming Colchester United 4-1 at Landore.

Veevers started the scoring by neatly directing the ball into the net from a Kyrell Wilson cross. DC United loanee Fletcher continued his impressive form with another hat-trick, building on his three-goal performance against Ipswich Town earlier in the week.

Fletcher struck twice in quick succession within three minutes during the first period and added a powerful strike approaching the hour mark. Despite the visitors denying the home side a clean sheet with Kaan Bennett’s goal, it served as little more than a consolation.

In terms of line-up changes from the Ipswich victory, Zane Myers, Jack Stafford, and Maliq Cadogan took the places of Joe Thomas, Richard Faakye, and Liam Smith.

Goalkeeper Archie Matthews returned after a lengthy absence, replacing Remy Mitchell, while Nathanael Ogbeta made a return from his own extended lay-off and was named on the bench.
