We made our first visit of the 2026-2027 season to the Swansea.com stadium on Saturday, 1 August 2026, to photograph the pre-season friendly between Swansea City and Spanish La Liga 2 side CD Leganes.
Joseph Opoku scored the only goal of the game as Swansea City completed their pre-season preparations with a 1-0 victory over Spanish side CD Leganés.
The 20-year-old opened his Swansea account in style, curling home a superb long-range effort on just his second appearance for the club. His stunning strike, following some excellent work from Adam Idah, proved enough to separate the sides.
The Swans defended well in the closing stages to seal a deserved victory, ending their pre-season campaign on a high with a clean sheet and a confidence-boosting result in front of a crowd of 4,979 ahead of the new Championship season.
