We visited Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli on Saturday, 7 March 2026, to photograph the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier between Wales and Montenegro.

Hannah Cain and Mared Griffiths both scored twice as Wales cruised to a 6–1 victory over Montenegro in Llanelli, securing their first win in their 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
Cain opened the scoring early on, racing through the Montenegro defence before later turning provider by setting up Rachel Rowe to sweep home Wales’ second. Goalkeeper Ajsa Kalac then spilled the ball under pressure, allowing teenager Griffiths to tap into an empty net.
Sophie Ingle added a fourth from close range after a corner was only partially cleared, before Cain finished off Lily Woodham’s low cross to give Wales a commanding 5–0 lead at the break.
Montenegro pulled a goal back shortly after the restart through Armisa Kuc, but Wales had the final word. Griffiths capped an impressive performance by rounding Kalac and finishing confidently after being played through by Carrie Jones in front of the 4,550 crowd.
