We visited Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli on Friday, 8 April 2022 to photograph the FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier Group I match between Wales Women and France Women.
A goal in each half from Wendie Renard and Marie-Antoinette Katoto earned unbeaten FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier Group I leaders France a 2-1 win in Llanelli.
To their credit, Wales pushed their World Ranked number 3 opponents all the way and a Sophie Ingle goal on 71 minutes gave the home side hope of getting something out of the game.
Wales though they had earned a share of the spoils when Gemma Evans headed home on 73 minutes, but cruelly the goal was flagged offside.
