We visited the Swansea City Academy in Landore on Saturday, 26 August 2023, to photograph the Under 18 Professional Development League fixture between Swansea City and Sheffield United.
The young Swans fell to a 3-1 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday at Landore, despite battling until the very end.
After a goalless opening 45 minutes, the game came to life in the opening minutes of the second half as Devlan Moses gave the Owls the lead, only for the Swans’ Thomas Woodward to equalise just minutes later.
With the game finely poised, the visitors were awarded a penalty, which Moses stepped up to take and score his second goal of the game.
Sheffield Wednesday captain Jarvis Thornton then scored a stunning goal from 25 yards out to seal the win and three points for the visitors.
