Swansea City brought the curtain down on the 2025-26 Championship season in style, with Adam Idah’s brace and a stunning Leo Walta free-kick securing a thoroughly deserved victory over Charlton Athletic at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The Swans dominated for long periods but had to wait until the 75th minute to break the deadlock, when substitute Idah emphatically fired home Josh Key’s pull-back to give the hosts the lead their performance merited.

Charlton threatened to spoil the party almost immediately, with Miles Leaburn heading home from a corner to level proceedings, but Swansea were not to be denied. Josh Tymon’s pull-back was met with the same conviction as the first, with Republic of Ireland international Idah powering home his second of the afternoon to restore the advantage.

Walta then capped a memorable afternoon with a stunning set-piece strike to claim his first goal in Swansea colours in some style, sending the home faithful in the 19,245 crowd into raptures.
