A new year, a new set of credits. Between January and March 2025, images from Majestic Media featured across club channels, national rugby press and specialist sports websites – covering everything from academy breakthroughs to senior international rugby storylines.
Here’s a look at where our work turned up this quarter.
Club and academy football
Our photography of Mitchell Bates appeared on Truro City FC’s website, illustrating news of his loan move from Swansea City.
Closer to home, Swansea City’s official website made extensive use of our academy and first-team coverage throughout the quarter – from Kyrell Wilson’s loan move to Yeovil Town, to Evan Watts’s move to Galway United, to Thomas Woodward’s first professional deal and subsequent goal celebration, which appeared across multiple match reports. Further images of Jack Fanning, Charlie Veevers, Morgan Bates and Kiel Higginson featured in academy match reports and previews spanning the Swans Under 18s and Swans Under 21s.
Callum Jones’s goal celebration also crossed over into Swansea City Academy’s social channels, appearing on both X and Facebook.
International rugby coverage
Rugby was well represented this quarter too. Planet Rugby used our photography on three separate occasions – featuring Dwayne Peel in a piece on potential successors to Warren Gatland as Wales head coach, Harri Deaves in Ospreys v Leinster analysis, and Edwill van der Merwe in coverage of the Emirates Lions match against the Sharks.
South African outlet SABC Sport also picked up our work, using an image of PJ Botha in a story on the Emirates Lions squad depth at prop.
Growing the women’s game
Our coverage also supported international football, with imagery used by the Football Association of Wales in a feature on Cymru Women’s Under 17s heading into their qualifiers with senior ambitions – a nice example of our archive backing the women’s game at age grade level.
