With the 2022-2023 football season just weeks away, we visited Parc Ynysderw on Saturday, 16 July 2022, to photograph the pre-season friendly game between Pontardawe Town Reserves and West Wales Premier League side Clydach.
The sweltering heat made conditions difficult for both sides, but it didn’t stop this local derby providing plenty of entertainment for those watching.
It was the visitors Clydach who held the advantage at the interval thanks to a penalty on the stroke of half-time.
The second half saw Pontardawe Town waste numerous chances before they eventually turned the game on it’s head with two goals in as many minutes right on the stroke of full time, to run out 4-3 winners in a pulsating game.
