We visited the Swansea City Academy in Landore on Saturday, 30 September 2023, to photograph the Under 18 Professional Development League fixture between Swansea City and Charlton Athletic.
Despite leading at half-time Swansea City Under 18s fell to a 6-3 defeat against reigning Professional Development League South champions Charlton Athletic in an action packed game at Landore.
The first half saw five goals, as the Addicks Patrick Casey gave the visitors the lead from a free-kick.
Jack Fanning’s header drew the Swans level at 1-1, before Thomas Woodword put the home side ahead.
Striker Casey then put Charlton level from the penalty spot, before the Swans took a 3-2 lead as Josh Pescatore scored just before the interval.
The Swans were unable to build on their first half lead however, as Charlton scored four times in the second half without reply to claim all three points in a thoroughly entertaining encounter.
