We visited the Swansea City Academy in Landore on Saturday, 7 October 2023, to photograph the Under 21 Premier League Cup fixture between Swansea City and Brighton and Hove Albion.
Swansea City Under-21s secured their second consecutive Premier League Cup win by defeating Brighton and Hove Albion 3-1 at the Landore Training Ground.
American striker Kristian Fletcher was the star of the match, scoring two goals and forcing an own goal from the young Seagulls. He opened the scoring for the Swans with a strike from the edge of the area, giving the home team the lead at the interval.
Brighton and Hove Albion managed to equalize with a goal from Mark O’Mahony shortly after the restart. However, it didn’t deter Swansea, who found the net twice during the latter stages of the game minutes.
First, there was an own goal from Brighton, and then Fletcher showcased his skills with a fantastic solo effort, sealing the victory for Swans.
