We visited the Swansea.com stadium on Saturday, 8 August 2026, to photograph the EFL Cup First Round game between EFL Championship sides Swansea City and Birmingham City.

Swansea City were knocked out of the Carabao Cup as August Priske’s late first-half goal gave Birmingham City a 1–0 victory.
The Blues forward scored the only goal of the game in the final minute of normal time before the break, converting a volleyed cross from close range.
Swansea had enjoyed the better of the opening period, with both Adam Idah and Elijah Just going closest for the home side.
The Swans pushed for an equaliser after the break, but were denied when Marko Stamenic’s effort was brilliantly saved by James Beadle as the visitors held on to progress to the second round.
