We visited the JOMA High Performance Centre in Landore on Saturday, 9 November 2024, to photograph the Under 18 Professional Development League fixture between Swansea City and Millwall.
Swansea City pulled off an impressive second-half comeback to beat Millwall 2-1 at the JOMA High Performance Centre in Landore.
The game didn’t start well for Swansea, as Millwall took advantage of some defensive chaos to grab an early lead through Jayden Tektas, just moments after Alex Godfrey’s chipped shot hit the post at the other end.
Despite the setback, the young Swans dominated the second half, starting with Morgan Bates’ equaliser in the 56th minute. Bates scored from close range after Brogan Popham and Higgins combined brilliantly after a scrappy play passage of play to create the chance.
From then on, Swansea took control, pinning Millwall back in their half. Caio Ifans, won a free kick just outside the box, and up stepped Josh Pescatore to score a stunning free kick, curling it over the wall and past the goalkeeper to seal the comeback win.
